Default Coming to your town soon!!!!

WARNING!! This could be coming to your town soon.
I was riding on my beast today and as i approached the intersection I eyeballed a car getting ready to just pull out in front of me like I wasn't there. I came to hard controlled stop just short of the vehicle driver side door and watched as the VERY elderly person CONTINUED to drive past me while she conversed on a cell phone. She actually smiled at me like I was being very kind to allow her to continue with her conversation. I thought I had just crossed into the TWILIGHT ZONE.
NOw the fact that a Very Senior citizen zoned out at an intersection alomost causing a dare I say, fatal wreck does not shock me.. Senior Citizens are afraid of technology and don't use cell phones. That is what floored me!!
Here is the thing. She had to be talking to someone so this could be a virus and is spreading. If this is the case we as riders will need to place our heads on a turntable everytime we get out to ride. Put the swivel away.

Senior citizens on cell phones--stiff neck--can't see over the steering wheel to know where they are going.
vs
Teenager texting on a cell phone--brain dead--and doesn't watch where they are going. ~M

Default Very old people and immagrants

I live in palm springs, ca home of the well to do old who think the road belongs to them an over the boarder folks that can read some English. 3 years ago I sold my radical custom 650 triumph chopper because I was run off the road 3 times laying it down once. I felt somthing was missing in my life so I got my X and again feel fulfilled, but you can bet I watch everything around me and ride with all the safety gear and give a little sigh of relief when I get out of the city.

I'll take the senior citizen. If they do hit you they were probably not going as fast as the teenager...

Come to central Florida starting in September to April. Blue hair and Cadillacs as far as the eye can see. All trying to get to the early bird specials at the resturants. Air horns work if their hearing aids are turned up.

I actually saw a kid (17-18 or so) the other day on a rocket messing with his cell, I think he was actually texting.

See it all the time here, I am pretty mild manered with the seniors, my mom at 80 is still driving, but I did yell at an old man this past weekend. He wasn't on a cell phone, just not looking at anything except what was in front of him, almost clipped me. Everyone on a cell is a potentional threat. Rider beware.

I passed a guy on a goldwing going the other way a few weeks ago who was talking on a cell phone. I guess he was sorta paying attention though because he did wave.
