Glad to be a member of the VTXOA

Not my first bike, but by far my favorite... Bought an 02 1800S with 58k in November... Already rolled over 64... Has had all the fixes done, if not I did the rest of them.... I absolutely love this bike.... Going Darkside this month with a General Altimax HP..... Any input wpuld be appreciated from you salty Vtxers... Either 195 60 15 ..... Or a 205 60 15...... Please let me know what you think I would like to know.... Thanks in advance

Welcome from east Texas. I can't help with the darkside question, because I ride on a fatty 240 40 18. Someone will be along in a short and give you the answer.

I have only been darkside one tank of gas. So far, its good. Different feeling, like going from a worn out tire to a new one is different. Like going from one bike to another is different.i haven't had it in the twisties yet but interstate and backroads are ok even 2 up. I think my speedo is off more now since the 195/65-15 is a little shorter than the 180/70-15.i sealed my spokes too, so i didn't put in my ride-on yet, was waiting to make sure it didn't leak. I can't tell if it's out of balance but it has developed a wobble at 110 - 120 mph.It doesn't leak so will be putting ride-on in rear tire my next day off. I'll be sealing my front spokes soon, and putting on my new commander ll, then ride-on in front.

Welcome to the VTXASG (VTX Addition Support Group) .... where we gladly support each other's addiction.

And it seems that you have found your true addiction. 6k miles in 5 months? Nice!

Welcome to the group, from Kentucky. No matter what tires you use, I can heartily recommend using Ride-On in them, for balancing and flat protection!!!

Safe Riding.

Welcome from just north of Dallas.

Is that a run flat tire? I know of some LD Wing riders who swear by the run flat car tires. I haven't tried the Dark Side.
