1800c. 04. Bike warms up, neutral light goes out. Shut off won’t start. Bike is warm, neutral light off....put the kickstand down shuts off. Bike cools for few minutes, can lean it to the left, neutral light comes on and starts? Very annoying....

I did not follow all your steps, "Bike is warm, neutral light off....put the kickstand down shuts off."
You can check the wiring and put a Ground on it to verify the wiring.
Putting the "Kickstand Down" does Kill the engine. That is the way it works.
Kick Stand UP and clutch lever pulled in allows Starting in Gear.

Somewhere in the 80k mile range my Neutral light became intermittent.
I removed the Neutral switch and the tip was worn some.
The copper sealing washer is very thick, so I proceeded to sand/file a bit and re-installed.
It has gone another 100k miles without a problem.
The shifter drum in its rotation makes contact with it causing the wear.

Buy a new switch or do like I did. Honda 35600-KE8-003 SWITCH ASSY., NEUTRAL (TOYO)

Bike cold starts fine. Neutral light stays on and can put the kickstand down bike stays running. Bike warms up, neutral light goes off (still in neutral) kickstand down shuts off. Won’t start till it cools down or if I tilt to the left will start. I’m at about 74,000 so sounds like you nailed it. I know how the kickstand works btw...thank you for your help.

Hans, while I have you, where do you keep your oil level on the stick? I keep it above center of the two lines on the stick. Am I running it low?

The stick sits on top of hole when checking and the X is held vertical.
Between the lines is good.
When I do an oil change I always check to see how much oil is returned.
I displace the anti-drain back valve and when that stops draining I usually punch a hole in the top to drain more. A week or two.

At some time many years ago I filed a mark on the stick when it was on the kick stand.
3/22/2004 "Hornswoggle" said>> "At this point, I decided to do BIGLRY's mod" Which was to mark the stick with a file...
This makes it easy to check now.
I rarely check it, change oil at 5k miles. The first 100k miles I changed oil at 4k miles interval.
On serious runs on the Interstate check more often.
4qts total and the filter is prefilled..
