2005 1300 retro

Hey all, new to this forum and wanted say hi. I am retired USAF and current civil service employee. I work in the ACFT avionics maintenance field. Just got my bike in Nov. so I am learning about it this riding season. Mainly got it to get around town and go to work. But have discovered I would like to take trips with it as well when I can get some down time. Anyway thank you for letting me join your forum.

Hello John, welcome to the VTXOA!

Several things you may want to do are "Clean & Lube" maintenance items.
Shifter pedal pivot point, Starter switch, Turn Signal switch, clutch lever and clutch cable.

1300 has an issue with wires too short from harness to the Ignition Control Module(ICM)
A wrap of tape around the pigtail and ICM to reduce stress and movement is suggested.

Another suggestion is to install a voltmeter to monitor the charge voltage.
Step by Step board has the info.

Enjoy the ride!

2005 1300c Red, Mustang seat, HK 2.5 straights. Leds for safety-front & back. 194,184 VTX miles
