Hi there from Idaho

Hi Folks. New to me owner of a 2004 1800S Spec 2.Black/cherry red. Her name is Ruby. Have a total of 30 minutes on her so far (bought Thursday, registered her. and insured her Friday, and had to much going on today to ride her). However, have spent about 5 hours with her cleaning and getting her ready to start riding. This is my first cruiser. Have owned and rode sport bikes/sport touring when younger but am getting older and opted to go the way of cruiser this time around. What a beautiful bike the VTX is!!! Looking forward to gaining some knowledge about her thru these forums and looking forward to meeting you folks!

Thanks

Welcome! I have a "N" and love riding this bike. The power compared to forty years (off and on) of shovelheads is like an "oh sheet" moment.

Loved my shovels. Looks, sound, ride, etc., but I should have went the 1800 route a long time ago. I think of all the riding I could've gotten in instead of . . . and I am still on a V-twin.

I've been working towards a trip to and around your state next year. Big Bend is first though. Looks like some sweet riding to be had.

Enjoy.

When you are young you want what everyone else has . . when you are old you want what everyone else had.
