I am sorry to learn about your life-altering tragic flood. It must be an awful experience. I'm sure nothing can replace all you have lost, but you're right - your memories are yours for life. And thank you to you and your wife for your service. Best wishes for a joyful Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have no idea what you/family went thru...

insurance never covers all what was lost..

if you could have moved the bike quickly after the flood ( even days )... it could have been saved.. without disassembly.

I have done it several times for customers.

may there Never be a Next time for you.

remember, tell the ones you Love, that you do.

Glad to see you are still with us!
That was a mess back in 2016.
During my time is the swamp lands we had street flooding about once every 2 or 3 years usually in April - May.
A low pressure system would move in from Texas and park for a few days.
Wife's cousin in League City,TX flooded in the 70's. Four feet of water.
A few of the old houses (1920's) in Marrero were built 4 to 6 feet above ground.
On a recent visit to Lafitte I had never seen so many old houses jacked up and new ones built on pilings.
I remember after Betsy, Plaquemines parish required new construction to be built on pilings below some town. Port Sulphur maybe?

Hang in there it! Take care!
