just finished my first Iron Butt ride

Just did my first SS1000 yesterday. Went from Ames out to Pratt, KS then north to Russell, KS and back to Ames.

Here's a link of the map for those interested..

Total distance was 1086 miles. I started at 6:46 AM Friday and ended at 2:23 AM Saturday. Trip was exhausting, but fun. I never really got too terribly sore, but pretty tired and cold by the end of the trip.

You're such a flower

I haven't done a SS1000 yet. Will be riding to San Antonio next month, plan to do 1250+ miles in 2 days. Last year I did 850+ miles in a day, it was a long one.

Congrats Veterancyclone!!
