Being a mechanic Im afraid of them, Ive seen too many wires and sockets melted because they create so much heat and draw so much current.

If you go overboard yes they will. I have had mine on my VTX for a year...............no problems.

Yep, very nice ride. You'll have to take it for a spin. Not as smooth as the VTX but quick.

My high beam burned out last week, so when I went to replace the silverstar I had in there, I went to Fleet Farm to see their options. They have the 2 pack of silverstars for $35, which was cheaper than Autozone. I downgraded to the Ultravision for only $15 per 2 pack. Supposed to be brighter than stock, but a bit less than silverstar and longer life span. I might go for a ride tonight to test it out. Will report back.
