Windshield Height

Does anyone have the Switchblade 2-up windshield on a VTX1800C? If so, did you need the lowers to avoid buffeting? I am trying to select a height that will allow me to look over the windshield yet push the wind up over my head. The height that I am currently thinking of going with puts the top of the windshield between my lower lip and chin. I am 6'2" and the height of the windshield is 19". Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Height

What I did was got a friend to help. I took a level and placed it on my lip extending out to the front of bike while sitting in the riding position. With the level being level measure down to top of headlight, that measurement is the height I went with and it worked well.

Thank You For Your Time

I would say yes, I have a 2002 Retro S, and I had to put the deflectors on, the 2nd best thing I bought besides the windshield. They make a world of difference.
