My used 02' 1800 came with Cobra lights and a Memphis Fats shield. The left side of the windshield DID touch the back of the light, but a slight adjustment fixed that. I don't think the brackets are on backwards. Maybe some sees something different.

You may want to look at wiring through a relay. Rattlebars has has a great write up and specifically addresses the Cobra Light Bar. On my previous 1300 (with Glens Blinker Bar and Kuyrakyn Silver Bullets) I put the relay in the headlight without any problems.

I was just going to post if its better to wire a separate switch for the lights or have them work only with the high beam.

I used their Cobra wiring diagram. I can turn them off on run them all the time.

The Cobra wiring diagram for me 1300R came with a switch also but they only worked with the low beams like cars do.

All I know is that the 1800R came in a S1, S2 and S3. It's same bike with different extras on them. My back blinkers have the same clear running lights also but blink yellow.

The different versions were mainly cosmetic. I forget which, but one had blacked out fins, one had the fin tips polished. One or more had tribal flamed paint on the tank. Probably another difference or 2.

I wan't following you correctly. I was trying to find an "S3" Cobra light bar, not a "Spec 3" 1800 R! lol
