Got on one my 1300's Sunday to go visit my 92 y/o father and had no rear brakes, jumped on the other 1300 and went for a visit. Noticed a couple of days ago that back brakes didn't seem to respond as well as they should, but Sunday, there was NOTHING. Found just a hint of brake fluid around banjo bolt and hose fitting where it attaches to rear caliper and practically no fluid in reservoir. Shame on me for not checking it before now, time to flush it anyway. Put new OEM pads on and ordered the crush washers for the banjo bolts, should be in Friday. Should be riding that 1300 again by Saturday!! Sure is nice having 2 bikes!!!

Okay, I'm in love with her all over again. Think I'm gonna put some miles on her this way for a few days before she gets "stripped and dipped".

I have a hard wired GPS on the bike but had been keeping the cell in the bag...got to be a hassle to get phone out to take a pic (quit using my digital camera)..never been a fan of the big ram mounts so I purchased one of these...so far so good and seems rock solid....
Works well with my otter box...

PS..I modified an extra otter box with a tether....u know ...just Incase .....LOL

Took the windshield off for the first time, wow the bike seems so much smaller! I like seeing the curves so much more, seems to turn easier. Thinking of looking for the second from smallest switchblade as another option to the large one for a little wind protection.

I ran the Switchblade Deflector shield for several years before putting on my fairing. It gave just enough wind protection and looked good on the bike. Plus it has an adjustable rake, so you can tailor it to your height to help with buffeting. I ran just that shield on all of my long-distance trips and was fine with it. This was my trip from home to CO back in '05.
