Thanks! I'm about to do a road trip, so I wanted to get it installed before I leave tomorrow. I should have it fully broken in before I reach my destination.

Today was THE day! I got her down off the stand, put the seat on, fired her up, and with a little discomfort, threw a leg over, backed her out of the barn, and took her a mile up & back for a mini-shakedown run. For me, not the bike, LOL. Probably Tuesday, after the primary voting, I'll take her for the annual inspection, then start to clean her up for spring riding.

Added a smoked lens and LED taillight. It can also be wired to be signal lights too, but I didnít do that.

Next up is the light bar that arrived last week.

What did you do to your VTX today?

Before and after shot. Disappointed I had to lose the lowers, they no longer fit where they were.

Thanks for the good deal @walmon

I've convinced myself that the 55w H3 bulbs in lightbar are too much of a strain on my stator so i have 35w H3 bulbs sitting on my desk in front of me to install. The 55w bulbs worked fine, very bright but i only used them when approaching busy intersections, then turned them off.

For some reason i've become convinced that 55w Halogen bulbs "Tax" the stator and didnt want to cause problems.
Am i right? Or is it all in my head?

You maybe right, but the bike is wired to add this option, so Iím thinking it can handle it. I also swapped out the halogen bulbs for LED bulbs, but since I have a Daymaker headlight, I will probably buy the matching spotlights in the near future.

All the lights on my bike are now LED, so Iím guessing they are drawing less than before.

smurfy71, makes sense. What your saving with the LED headlight and other lights more than makes-up the difference between 55w and 35w driving lights. Plus you plan to change the lights to LED anyway.

I already changed them to H3 LED bulbs, but there are Daymaker replacements that match my headlight.

So you're saying these driving lights in these pics are LED? I thought they were halogen, especially in the "unlit" pic.
