I thought about it, but it would cost me more to paint than I paid for the helmet. You'd have to see my bike in person to really appreciate the paint job and the amount of colored flake in it. All I can say is the paint was pricey

I read the reviews on Amazon and some people had issue with the chin strap. It doesn't use a d-ring and the plastic tab digs into their Adam's apple.
How do you like the chin strap?
Did your previous helmet have d-rings or a seatbelt-type tab?

All of my previous helmets had D-rings. The Nolan has a ratchet chin strap which makes it easier to use than the D-ring. The Chin strap feels like it fits close to the neck/adam's apple. I have a 16.5/17 in neck and I adjust the strap to a comfort place that keeps the helmet secure w/o choking me. However, it took a few rides to gets use to the different placement on the neck and the feel of the strap sitting differently. Definitely, not a deal breaker. But I recommend trying one on before purchasing it to see how the chin strap feels.
