San Antonio
I'm going to be working in the San Antonio, TX area for the next couple of months. Anyone in the area that wants to hook up for a couple of rides? I'm towing the bike, just haven't decided on the VTX1300 or CTX700.

The C has new tires and the V will probably need tires while I'm there. Is there anyplace that won't charge me an arm and a leg to mount the tires if I buy them there? Last year a dealer in El Paso wanted over $140 per tire if I bought them at his shop.

Should be arriving around the 15th. Scranton, PA to Orlando, FL and then San Antonio, TX.

Hi John,
we don't use stealerships down here. We go to motorcycle shops.
Most of them will mount & balance a tire for $20 if you buy it from them. Or they charge $50 if you don't buy it from them. (but you'll spend extra $30 in S&H from them Interwebs anyway)

It's my way to say "bring the dang VTX for sure!"

I'm in San Antonio and would be willing to go for a ride. Where are you staying?

Don't miss the Twisted Sisters just west northwest of San Antonio.

2012 in Texas, my bro n law Johnnie bought a new tire 1800F (Cycle Gear) after 3 Sisters ride. We had to go to San Antonio to buy it and then the next day had to go to Kerrville to get it mounted. The guy rode the bike with the new tire, then when asked about the front tire pressure the guy took it to the back and dropped the VTX. The right blinker looked loose but he put some super glue on it and it held ok for the duration.

I was the mule that carried the tire from San Antonio to Harper to Kerrville.

I’m also in San Antonio and wouldn’t mind going for a ride.
