Can am Spider

Hey guys, its time for a bonding moment. Let me start the "what a piece of **** the spyder is" A coupla years ago a semi trailer (tractor trailer?) came through town loaded up with the new Spyders. I booked online for a test ride. What a disappointment. Throttle on in a corner and the gutless wheezy piece of **** just pulls wide into oncoming traffic. If you want to turn $30,000 Aussie dollars into $10,000 just buy one new, and try and trade it in on something after a year of humiliation. Dare walk up close to one in the street and a semi disabled owner will hobble up at 100mph to let you know it is for sale and it is a great eerrr, errr, thing. Has anyone on this forum had a good experience with these?

I have learned a "SMALL" amount about them

3 guys here.. this month got used Can Am's.... 2) 2014, 1) 2015...

the 2 cylinder pre 2014 were dog's... 2014 an up have 3 cylinder 1330cc...

I will find out soon how fast or not,,,, on our Next group ride..

but you are correct... the 2015.... was $27,000 United States, New.....

it has 2,000 miles currently

Bob gave $17k for it.

with the paperwork of bike receiving full service 2 months ago...
from the Can Am dealer...

Not my bag. Stupid complicated to service. Not overly reliable, generally speaking.

Anyone dissing my Harley and riding one of those, I let them know I think it's great their wife let's them ride her tricycle. Ask them if it has enough storage for tampons. That always lights a fire. Only if they start in on me first though. Otherwise I'm just happy they have something to ride and enjoy.

My first post was around a year ago I think. My granddaughter pointed out a Three Wheeled Motorcycle and said to me Because he can't ride a real bike. But don't laugh at him because that would be bullying. Kids are sometimes too honest.

And good on her Chuck. My buddy that got one for his wife ... she has early stage MS and couldn't manage a clutch with her hand anymore. Legs wobbly at stop signs. So for now she can still ride, although it's rare to see her out anymore. So they are not without purpose.

Yes they do have their place. I hope to ride in open air till I die. I guess one of the many things I can't wrap my mind around is "training wheels " on a bike being ridden by a able bodied guy. Now, don't get me wrong, riding is riding, but i believe in that saying about riding mopeds. And I think training wheels should be included. Don't do it in public.

4 wheel motorcycle... they used to sell the kit without the body work...

think of a Honda 650 Shadow... with this kit... that is training wheels.

under some conditions.. one of the 2 outrigger wheels would be off the ground..
