Lightning kills

Sad to hear that a local NC guy was riding on I- 95 near Daytona and was hit by a lightning bolt.

proof.. rubber tires are not a good protector... from lightning ..

when your time is "UP", its Up..

and in the lightning capital of the USA... Florida.

the National Weather Service used to offer classes on proper installation of Radio Towers , including lightning strikes and grounding.... as part of there Weather Spotter Reporter program.

aka Amateur Radio., Public Service, Storm Watcher, Red Cross volunteer .

It did not say if the lightning killed him or the off the road crash. But looking at the helmet which
the material is an insulator looks pretty bad. I can't say for sure what caused his death. Maybe a combination of both.

Very sad and way to young. My heart goes out to his family and freinds.
