We all know what grass on roads can do to us. I'm sure it's the same in every state. Here in Kentucky we finally have some legislators that are trying to look out for us. Several bills are being proposed to make it illegal to blow grass clippings into the roadway: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/20rs/prefiled/4400.html We all (especially in Ky) need to contact our state legislators to pass this legislation.
Yay for Kentuck.....Iím about 30 Minutes from my country riding and the 2 lanes are bad with this ...actually had a guy stop and let me pass before he continued to bush hog the road way...grass is as bad if not worse than leaves....stay safe...
It is winter here and my local playground, the famous (in Adelaide) Gorge rd which cuts through the Adelaide Hills has some corners which hardly see sun as they are shaded by the hills. The bitumen stays wet and about now the moss starts appearing on the road. It makes the ole freckle pucker when you are riding hard and come round a corner and see moss. It is going to bring me down one day.
Since then, more municipalities have taken these complaints more seriously
Obviously doesn't happen enough, the word's not getting around. Just like laws against texting or deliberate distracted driving. Make these A-holes either use a bagger or blow their cuttings into their -OWN- yards!
I never understood blowing the clipping in the street. I see most everyone doing it, but me. Down here our ground is constantly sinking so why make it worse. I figure why blow the dirt and clippings in the street so they can clog the drainage lines, when I can blow it back up into my lawn to refill and feed it.
