Idaho hunting

Not much action on this board.
But thought I would give it a try.
My Son and I are coming over there to deer hunt in Oct. Is there any suggestions on units?????

Thanks

North Idaho or southern Idaho?
I know north Idaho pretty well, having enjoyed hunting there off and on for 25+ years
Be sure to just get a "general deer" tag. That allows you to bag either mule or white tail, and in any unit. If you specify which species when buying the tag, you close your own door on the opportunity to bag the beauty you end up seeing.
Dartanuan and StarrRider like this.

2007 VTX 1800 F Spec 3 - Mustang Seats, Cobra Angled Slashcuts, House of Kolor Blueberry Pearl paint and custom tank badge, lots of chrome, lots of sanding and polishing on the aluminum!
other stuff - HID headlight, airbox decapped plus K&N, ground fix, PAIR/desmog, tail light area minimalized, horn relocation, fwd controls extension, switch spiders removed, reflectors removed, Barnett clutch kit, Cobra FI2000R

I will talk to my Son about it, and thanks for the reply. We was in Imnaha River last year and did really good in there. Thought we would try Idaho next year and then Montana the year after.

We are looking at unit 39 which is east of Idaho City and N E of Boise.. Any suggestions? We are open at this point. I may have to take a bike trip and go over and do some scouting

I've never hunted there but I know there's some monster bucks and huge bulls that come out of there each year.
