fork oil measurement

Anyone got the fork oil measurement? if you got rough oz. and the exact numbers

I don't have my manual handy I think it's something like 23oz in the left and 26 in the right Would be best to have the exact amount though

yeah,that would be best.I had a manual and it got stolen,I need to pick up another one.
I'm also looking for the number of inches/mm measured in the fork tubes.

For a 2002-2004 VTX 1800 the fork oil is supposed to be
23.2+-0.08 US ounces in the right fork and
26.0 +-0.08 US ounces in the left fork
so Jon did a great guess with no manual in his hand!

You can get fork oil at any motorcycle shop and on line motrocycle website. Even AMSOIL has fork oil STMQT medium weight fork oil

The Honda dealer or DLP at the top of this page. Or any m/c place and get BelRay brand forks oil. 10W

But for my own education why the different amounts?

because th1 800 has 2 different fork legs. One leg is built to absorb rebound dampening, the other is for extension dampening. This is also why you need a special tool for only one side
