Is my ECM Dead?!

Sorry if this has been gone through before, I searched before posting... I’ve got a 2002 R with about 75k on it and last week it left me stranded on the side of the road for the 1st time! Getting nothing out of it when I turn the key in the ignition, pulled the battery and fully charged it, now I get power to the ignition and starter, but NO sound from the fuel pump or indicator lights on the cluster, the starter will crank, but that’s all! I’ve checked all fuses and as much of the harness as I could for anything obvious... has anyone experienced anything like this, I was originally thinking the stator crapped out, but now thinking more like the ECM mighta died! Thanks, Steve

ECM has a great record. 2002 has a history of Red/white wire at 2Pin connector burning up. Do you hear the ESR relay click?
Look at this link for the 2 pin connector.

Is there anyone living in The Bay Area with an 02-04/R willing to let me plug your ECM into my bike to verify before I have to make the decision on a $1000 part?!

Where is this 2pin connector you speak of?

I found that connector, good 12v battery coming and going through that connector, looks good, no signs of burn and no voltage drop through the connector! Thanks

There are several safety switches.
Bank angle
Kickstand
Clutch
Emg stop

All have to work to send power to starter.

I get power to the starter, it’ll crank all day, just won’t turnover. Not even hearing the fuel pump prime or getting power to the cluster, no odometer, neutral indicator... nothing!!!

No, there is no sound, no relay click, no fuel pump prime, nothing!

Little backstory, not sure if it makes a difference... I was pushing it pretty hard, 90-110 for about 2-1/2 hours and doing 85ish when it just lost all power and went dark!

That is not pushing an 1800.
Check for power at pump plug.
You can also check for spark.
