I have to give credit where credit is due.

I'm a member of many fourms due to the biz I'm in.from Baja addicks to RC groups to Tahoe boards etc. I've learned (in most cases) believe little of what your told and half of what you see (you tube). As great of a tool fourms and other online informational tools are you must careful of arm chair quarterbacks and the info they provide.
But the short time I've been a member of this site. The response is swift, detailed, and (if I can use a technical term) NUTZ ON! The folks here seem to know the fine line between theory and reality and when to share what with who😒.
That's a blessing being new to a subject.
Just a ranty thanks.

Funny title...
John Muirs Volkswagens for idiots was the father of diy repair. Grab a copy just for the pleasure of reading. Even if your not a veewee guy. I had a 1st run org. Copy that was used so much the ink was worn from the pages. And it was autographed by the author. It was a hand written manual that was done wonderful.
He wrote step by step guide from the stool hieght to how many paper cups to have and what to write on them (for parts) with great hand drawn illustrations explaining what thanks we're and how the worked. As a kid I drove across America in a 100.00 car and that book spending not much more to do it. And it was humorous for the frustrating times.
The name was How to keep your vollkswagon alive a guide for the complete idiot ..... I remember getting the book in 77 the year he died from my older brother I was about 12. I bought my 1st veewee at 15 and hit the rode at 17. That book changed my life I'm many ways. Lol
