Replacement for 150/80-17 tire

Hello,

I'm about to buy new tires and I decided to get this time whitewalls for my VTX1800S. The problem I have is that I can't get the 150/80-17 WW for front anywhere... The closest size are 140/80-17 or 160/70-17. Called the local tire workshop and was told to get only the widest size in this case 160/70-17. Appreciate any suggestion which size to go with?

Best

Looks like I'm the first to face such a challange , probably go for it and fingers crossed the tire will fit the fender

No i search for long time to make mi choce 160/80-17 is not avalable so i buy Shinko because its the only match i found 140/80-17 front n 180/65-16 rear cause of the cast wheel on R model the original size was 150/80-17 front n 180/70-16 rear Of corse they are not radial like mi old Elite hope i didn't regret

Good Luck

All,

unfortunately 160/70-17 doesn't fit into VTX 1800 S... Now will order 140/80-17 and this one should fit.

Update: 140/80-17 arrived yesterday. Today I put it on the bike and it fits well and whole machine looks awsome.

Looks great. Thanks for sharing and thanks for saving me having to try the 160. I've been going through the same bs. I contacted a few manufacturers and ended up with the same choices. Now before I order I just have to decide if i want to clean the WWs. The spokes keep me busy enough.
