What year is your bike? You should add that to your profile so we do not have to ask.

If 2002 or 2003 sounds like your FPR (fuel pressure regulator) went bad. Common problem
with those years.

DO NOT KEEP TRYING TO START IT IF FUEL IS RUNNING OUT OF YOUR EXHAUST. You are washing down your cylinder walls with gas and will cause damage. You have fuel in your oil. You will need to change your oil several times after you find out what the problem is.

Good luck

If its a 1300...Float is stuck....Rebuild carb & change oil before trying to start.

2003 1800.......You have a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator or FPR. This is allowing too much fuel into the combustion chamber and the excess is not only going out your exhaust, it is also running down the cylinder walls into the engine case. So, once you change the FPR, change the oil. Ride it around teh block and change the oil again to be sure you got all the fuel out of the engine

Remember to remove the dust cover from the FPR before installing.
This from Bare's procedure: Pop open the new FPR, remove the little rubber plug, make sure the new o-ring is properly in place and bolt it back on.
