Please update or add your bikes information...

WE like to help.. but we can NOT see your bike.. or read your mind..

it might be an 1800... but what year.. what model...

production was from 2002 to 2008... 6 models.. using same engine..

many changes were made in the 2005 model year.

2005 VTX1800 F, type II, Silver Tribal, 86,000 Miles, Purchased Feb, 2005.
MTC clutch & springs.. K&N Air Filter. Garmin 2597 GPS.

Sorry but I call this off topic. I don't see how this is relevant to the question. Are there some VTX models made from one piece?

I agree but in this case it doesn't matter. Some just want a simple answer to a simple question.

and there is the reason I have SLOWED my helping others...

my remote video viewing still does not work...

and how HARD is it to offer bike information...

retired Honda dealership mechanic.

3 posts and limited bike information..

if you add it to your basic information when you signed in .. no need to re-type it.

I have my basic bike information in my Signature..

no searching.. even current mileage.

to answer your question..
most likely a casting flaw... no oil leaking .. no harm.

done here...

I loved working on bikes.. so disliked there owners.
want help.. but has attitude. and FREE help at that.

That is the lower front engine mounting boss, it has rubber bushings in it. (1800 engine to frame mount)
The crack is the crankcase parting line, a flat blade screwdriver used to split the case.

2005 1300c Red, Mustang seat, HK 2.5 straights. Leds for safety-front & back. 190,260 VTX miles
