Battery replaced on 5/18/19.
Ground fix done about a week after battery replaced.
Battery tested good at autozone and a voltage of 12.87 key off and key on 12.59.
Running @ idle the voltage is 14.66 and 5,000 +/- rpm the voltage is 14.66. Is it normal for the idle to be the same as 5k rpms?
The current leakage is less then 1.
Open from all three legs to ground.
Regulator voltage from 3p connector is
Good grounds from 6p to negative battery terminal and both ground fixes. And battery voltage at both red wires.
This started happening on a trip from dfw to Austin about 100 miles into the trip the odemeter went out and I pulled over as soon as I found a shady spot. The black cable on the battery was slightly loose. So we considered it problem solved. A nice gentleman pulled over and we charged the battery for about 30 minutes. The bike ran fine the rest of the day.
The next day less then a mile from home as I was pulling off highway the odometer went out again and lost power. We charged the battery again and made it home.
