Hey all.

Battery replaced on 5/18/19.
Ground fix done about a week after battery replaced.

Battery tested good at autozone and a voltage of 12.87 key off and key on 12.59.

Running @ idle the voltage is 14.66 and 5,000 +/- rpm the voltage is 14.66. Is it normal for the idle to be the same as 5k rpms?

The current leakage is less then 1.

Stator ohms
.267
.267
.266

Open from all three legs to ground.

Regulator voltage from 3p connector is
5.26v
5.26v
5.27v

Good grounds from 6p to negative battery terminal and both ground fixes. And battery voltage at both red wires.

This started happening on a trip from dfw to Austin about 100 miles into the trip the odemeter went out and I pulled over as soon as I found a shady spot. The black cable on the battery was slightly loose. So we considered it problem solved. A nice gentleman pulled over and we charged the battery for about 30 minutes. The bike ran fine the rest of the day.

The next day less then a mile from home as I was pulling off highway the odometer went out again and lost power. We charged the battery again and made it home.

The stator output voltage is done with the 3 pin connector OPEN, and you are looking for AC voltage from the stator wires.

However the DC voltage looks good. Test the stator voltage anyway. A-B; B-C; A-C

You are losing power... Have you checked the 2pin connector (near the starter relay) from the two 30 amp fuses?

02-03 have had that 2 pin connector burn up. The 4 pin connector on the Ign switch has failed before.
Lights and control(Ign switch) are on one 30 amp fuse, FI(Ign coils/injectors/ECM) are on the other 30 amp fuse.

Stator output is 24.4 on all A-B A-C B-C

To correct my first post the the 5v listed are diode tests from the stator to the rectifier /regulator.

Usually at idle speed 16 - 19 VAC It varies! At 3000 RPM 40 - 60 VAC Open circuit voltage from stator.

Most diode tests are in millivolts.
526mv or .526 volts diode forward voltage

Searching for a connection that is going open is what I would be looking for.
IGN switch and/or connector
