Are you saying, the same kind of masters worked on both the Shadows and the VTX 1800?

And what about the bore/piston diameter of masters. Are they the same or different?

Interesting. The 1300 and Shadow use the same piston set (rebuild kit), but the 1800 is different. At least the part numbers... So, I guess the piston diameter is different (haven't check the service manual). And the 1800 has hydraulic cluch. That Ebay listing shows 25mm (1") handlebar and 14 mm piston diameter, no matter what model you choose (VTX or Shadow).

Are you thanking me for this topic? Are you considering using these parts?
With tc862011's successes, I'm considering it again.
Safe riding to you too.

A leaking master cylinder is extremely rare and there is a simple and cheap fix: a new piston set. So why would anybody buy something else

After much exhaustive research, I cannot find another positive comment on this Clutch Master Cylinder. I've searched through the Ebay seller's reviews and found many positive reviews for other motorcycles, but cannot find one for the VTX 1800.
With the after market being different from OEM, and because the VTX 1800 Clutch Master Cylinder is apparently unique, and with the only review for the after market provided here by tc862011, I must go with the OEM.
