Seems to me Arnott is the most-often mentioned and go to brand. Not to disparage any others. Out of my pay grade anyway, lol.

Interesting... a new query about air shocks.

Well, it seems just a few months back the people at Arnott popped in on a old thread about same subject and were scolded for stirring old threads (a technique AKA and done by many as bump to the top).

Who knew that people might ask about the same stuff that was asked about 10 years ago. Imagine that...

Hope you find the info you're looking for.

not sure about the 1800 but my 1300 shocks were not very good right off the showroom floor.
it does not like large bumps or railroad tracks.
just the way it is made but it goes down the road and handles very good.
only bike i have ever ridden with a cushy ride was a goldwing.
all others were about the same.
i think my 2003 Suzuki volusia had better suspension....single shock in the rear.

Are air shocks better at all, other than the adjustable height?

You can say anything stupid. It's the internet. No real consequences for YOU.
