2003 Headlight is not working.

I have to tap in to a light bar that I purchased from Walmart to get my headlight to work. For some reason the wires leading to the switch are not pushing power. Also I have a yellow and brown wire in my my headlight housing that is loose. Any thought?

Yellow could be the Tach wire if you have a 1800C.
You have to provide the model and year. Signature line is a great place to plant it.

Most wires have stripe, 2/3 primary color and 1/3 stripe.
Examine carefully. Some color combinations bleed some since they are old.

The headlight wiring goes through the Starter Switch, it frees up about 5 amps when the engine is cranking.
The constant headlight current starts heating up the switch contacts after dirt and grease get older.

Starter switch cleaning>> Look at Step by Step, also has a 1800 section
