PGM-FI UNIT 2006 vs 2004 any known difference?

Advice needed on the matter of PGM-FI UNIT on VTX 1800 R

Are there any known differences in the PGM-FI UNIT from 2004-2005 of production to 2006-2007?
The part numbers are different.

My motorcycle is 2007 started with PGM-FI UNIT 2004 and run normally. But I still wonder shall I just leave it or get the PGM-FI UNIT 2006 for my motorcycle?

Would appreciate any advise or solution.

Keep what you have.

I found some emission changes for 2006 that probably account for the different part numbers.

EPA Motorcycle Emission Standards

if it was an issue. Honda would have changed the connectors for the PGM..
