Just read this review on Amazon on their Scala Rider Freecom4 headset. Does anyone have one of these units snd if so, does this app issue prevent you from using it?

The packaging for the Freecom 4, the manual for the Freecom 4, the Cardo web site and Cardo advertising all say the SmartSet app works on iPhones with the Freecom. There is no indication in any of these that the app does not work. But Cardo acknowledges (see below) that it does not work. At the very least it is fair to say that the Cardo literature and advertising is misleading. I think it is more accurate to say that Cardo is flat out lying. The Cardo response that they expect a resolution in a few weeks is something they've been saying for months. What a truly crappy way to treat customers.

We truly regret that there is still no firm launch date for the iOS version of the SmartSet App. The reason for this delay is of a purely technical nature and could not have been reasonably foreseen. Clearly this doesn't solve the issue, yet we sincerely hope for your understanding. Please rest assured that our R&D department is working tediously on resolving the final bugs and while a firm date cannot be set yet, we are confident that the solution will be available within a few weeks from now. As you can imagine, we are as keen as you to release the App, and ask you kindly to bear with us a little longer.
