Pairing phone through GPS or SENA?

Hi folks,
I have a new ZUMO 396 and I think I now have two choices for pairing my iPhone: through the ZUMO or through the SENA headset. Assuming that either choice will work I'm wondering which is the better way to go?
Thanks.

I have a ZUMO 660 and a Sena headset, and my phone is paired with both at the same time.
I have an android phone. I hear commands from the GPS and play music on the phone.

Why do you pair through both? Would pairing through just one of them work, too?

I don't know why, I guess because it just does. Seems to work fine that way.
It's all automatic. I turn it on and it all connects. I can turn the GPS off and it is still connected to the phone. I can also make and receive phone calls but I never use that feature. I'm not sure I could listen to music if it was only connected to the GPS. You would need to try it to find out for sure.

What's also pretty cool is I can control phone calls through the GPS screen, and control Spotify with the Sena controls.

That does sound pretty cool! I'll have to check that out.
Thanks for the info.
