thinking new bars

wanna put new bars on the vtx. i want to sit a little further back and up. was thinking of a 12 inch monkey bar or mini ape. just worried about the shoulder strain. anyone have any issues with apes that i dont know?

Im running 2" risers with 8" mini apes and its a huge comfort difference from what I had. So much better. That's as high as I could go without extending the cables. I did have to reroute them. If you put your hand on top of your mirror, that will give you idea of height. Im not really sitting further back, just better posture.

handle bar opinions

still lookin at new bars. need to sit a little further back. anyone have any experience with diff bars or have the same issues as me with the oem bars?

Im running 1.5" risers and 16" bars, hands are at shoulder height. My back and arms dont ever get tired. I find myself sitting more straight up now than I did with the stock R bars.
