1300 sputtering problem

I was a member since 2004 took a break and now I am back with a another vtx 1300 I am havi g a problem that I cant figure out so I thought I would ask the pros when riding normal it runs great but when the radiator fan comes on and I nail it it sputters and pops real bad. But when the fan is not on and I nail it no problem runs great any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated thanks

Another elastic-trickery problem.
Having said that the wife sometimes has a sputtering problem when I ride her hard Boom Boom :+)

1/ I reckon when your fan kicks in, it is drawing too much power. Ist thing to do is get the power in watt that your alternator kicks out. Then add up alll the devices on your bike which use that power. If it comes close to your alternator output then your fan is the straw which breaks the camels back.
2/ bad earth on the fan, bad earth on the bike, check all earths and fan wiring, check battery terminals (nice and tight-no corrosion)
3/ charging system on the fritz not producing the output it should be check with multi-meter.
I am no electric guru but they are the starts that I would make. There is a lot more expertise on here and I am sure some of those guys will be along to help out shortly.
