Ran outta fuel, now it's DEAD

So, through my own fault, ran my reserve down, like a dumdum. Put in a gallon plus, now it just cranks. It's a 2003 (FI)vtx1300s with only 8k on it. Just tuned it up prior, new all. Any thoughts, great mechanics? What should I look into? What order?
Please and Thank You.

I don't have a 1300 but I think yours may have a fuel pump on it ( 2003 ). Air locked.

Sorry buddy, none of the VTX1300s were fuel injected, although some had a fuel pump for the carb. As mentioned, likely air locked.

No sweat brother, it's all good. Many have converted the fuel pumped 1300s to gravity fed like the other model years. I don't think the fuel pump is at all necessary, not sure why Honda thought it was.

had the same problem .. Here's what I found .. The 3 little hoses from the petcock to the carb change them .. if 1 has a small crack or split in it bike wont start. check where it attaches to all the male ends. When that happened to me I ordered and changed every hose for the bike.

Garage
Do you hear the fuel pump run when the Ign is on?
FP may have self destructed if it ran long without fuel which cools the FP.

It's back! Found a mobile cycle mechanic to come out and found an issue with the fuel pump. Got it back up and running in under an hour. I'm happy again. Thanks for all the support.
