Backfire solved\ oil in air filter house
This is my first post.
Since one month I'm the owner of a 2006 VTX 1300R. The bike has 7300 miles on it. After about 300 miles without problems the engine started to backfire when accelerating.
If I kept on the gas, the backfiring stopped and the engine would smooth out at higher RPM's. After inspection I found out that the spark plugs of the second cylinder needed to be replaced. They were black. After the replacement the bike runs fine again. No backfiring anymore.
While inspecting everything, I found out that engine oil comes via the breather tube into the air filter house.
Does anyone knows what this means?
