Green and Black wires off of ECM

I assume that is what they call it, the black box on top of the battery cover. I changed the battery and then had a no spark from the green wire breaking. After repairing, the bike started. In my research on the issue it seems to be a common problem for the black and green wires to break. Out of curiosity, what are the wires for? Obviously it impacts a spark signal in some way, but I wanted to know more. I cannot find a wiring diagram to tell me. Anyone have a service manual they could look up what they do for me?

Garage
I have one more picture of the ICM that I have not uploaded. Later...

Two Green wires: One to Ignition Pulse Generator. One to Ground wire.

Black wire is +12volts and Green wire to IPG are the wires that break on the 1300.

If the download link does not work I have a 1300 SM on FB GaVTX in the files section.

I have added another post in Step by Step, pix regarding ICM.
