The CDC reports that in 2016, 38% of adults were obese compared to about 12% in 1960. I have two friends who both died of heart attacks within 13 months of their retirement due to their obesity. The most recent was last week. Eat on America, chug a six pac with that for good measure. We spent about $147 Billion on added medical expenses for obese people in 2016. Heck we only spent $66.6 Billion on food stamps. Imagine, if obese people ate less, gave the extra food to the poor, we could save billions on added medical expenses and eliminate $66.6 billion for food stamps expenses.

Thing is the food stamp crowd is way way more than 38% obese, probably over 70%. The same ones gobbling up food stamp $ are also gobbling up the health care $ paid for by the working thin who can't get food stamps and hardly afford hyper inflated food costs.

'04 1300S or at least used to be.
