Exclamation Screen stating "This wesbite has been reported as unsafe"

When replying to posts I have been getting this warning screen pop up. Why would this happen? Has this site been hacked?
Thanks

Jim have you run any malware detection software.
I have been using Malwarebytes for several years.
Run a full system scan with your anti-virus software.
Never click on any suggested link--dangerous...

Good info Hans,

I have been using Malwarebytes Pro for several years.
I also run a full system scan often.
You also are correct to not click on any suggested links and am aware of this too. I am very cautious when using the internet and so far have not had any major problems except for the one I mentioned above and only on this site when I reply to a post I get that warning.

Thanks, Jim

Jim, what browser are you using??

I have not had any popups wanting me to install a download a fake update "Flash Player"
since I tuned off "Flash Player" in FireFox. I had been using Chrome.

I only enable as necessary for a specific site.

I.E. has so many security holes that on W10 the new browser is called "Edge"
W10 is suposed to be the most secure MS OS from what I have read.

IE - you need to go to the highest security setting.
Disable ActiveX.
Disable Java if you have it.

Better to go to Google Chrome or Mozilla FireFox.
I have used both since 2008 in my Vista laptop and have both in this 8.1 laptop.
Since Netscape 2 or 3 came out I have not used IE.

Hans,
I do not have ActiveX enabled and do not have Java.
I have W7.
VTXOA is the only forum that I have had this happen. I belong to several other non motorcycle forums and have not had this error happen.

Thanks, Jim

hey there,

As stated above, microsoft can give off false positives sometimes. this could also be a case of a bad Ad showing up. Usually this is an issue with flash and malware piggy backing an Ad. If you are browsing and get a warning, let me know which ads are playing on that screen by getting screenshots, along with your region location as well.

again, as stated above, i would give your computer a good deep clean of malware and do a virus scan. there is malware that post even as microsoft warnings to get you to download random stuff telling you that its helping your computer, but in reality, it is in fact. malware. make sure you are back checking those random microsoft warnings.

i suggest using official microsoft security essentials to further assist you on this. also, lots of free malware software out there that will help you out as well.

Does this popup take over your VTXOA tab?
My fake adobe download would take over the VTXOA tab.
Activex settings IE.
Tools bar has "safety" verify ActiveX filtering selected.
More options in Network Settings Security and Privacy tabs. Set to "high" is the best bet.
