I cleared my cookies and cache, and that seemed to have speed things up. It is still slower to load pages than it used to be, as even when the page loads, it appears (still says "connecting" ) it is still trying to load a score of apps that seem to be advertisement related.

Just trying to help...
Yes my Tapatalk hasn't been loading entire posts. I've cleared the cache, etc. And nothing. Four page posts will have an entry or two on a page or nothing at all... a lot of posts have NO content at all.

For Tapatalk, give deletion and reinstalling a try. There was an issue with threads being populated on there recently that was repaired, so reinstalling may be worth a try.

House O' Pain, does it say anything else besides "connecting" at the bottom of the page when it's acting slow? If you notice anything else "like the google analytics or anything" that is lingering on the page, take a screenshot and send to us. Will help track down the cause.

Even though someone had no success with Adblock Plus, I know for a fact it speeds up my webspeed on here & other motorcycle & truck forums that l'm on.

This "clear your cookies and cache" seems like the same old "tighten your battery cables and do the ground fix" advice we see on the tech forums. I'm in the 'spine' of the system here at work, and on FIOS fibre optic at home and ever since the last revamp, this site has been slower on both computers (both PCs).

Clearing your cookies is our first go to for most problems. Clears up about 70% of internet errors, and once we bring the issue to techs it will be the first thing they double check. Have to make sure all the bases are covered.

Admin - I think a lot of it has to do with the ads on the pages. Most of them seem be almost like .gifs. Each time I take an action on the site it seems to require the browser to reload them which may cause the "stalling." Perhaps there is a way to streamline this???

Its not the pop-ups its the full motion graphics that make up the ads. The servers are probably not optimized for these.
