Could be that they are being regionally targeted.

In addition to the link for the popup, those who are getting them, can you also confirm your rough geographic location? And what device you are using. (Iphone, desktop, etc.)

Although I don't get independent pop-up ads, I do get horribly sluggish performance on this site. Things like trying to type this note take 20 times as long as it should, because the screen freezes about every ten letters. Sometimes it locks up entirely, and I get a message "site not responding due to long-running script".

Windows 10 here at work. North Carolina / Charlotte region.

I wish that you guys, that clearly seem tech-savvy, who spend time as you do bragging about all your ad blocker solutions and plug-ins and double-secret browser applications would spend as much time on providing feedback on the BS that happens to us all that run standard windows and IE setup.

All the immunization and disinfection bullcrap may be in your wheelhouse, but many here are more comfortable turning a wrench (or, ahem, swinging a golf club) than taking a remedial course on IT security.

You bragging about your setup that kills all pop-ups really isn't very helpful. Furthermore, you bragging about how you can handle anything that comes your way isn't going to motivate any admin to take any action.

there I said it (JUST AS THE FRIGGING AD UNCONTROLLABLY PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND).

Disclaimer "any typos can 100 percent be blamed on the "processing request" bull**** going on in the lower lefthand corner of my browser"

It is very simple.
#1 Stop using IE. I am using Mozilla FireFox with ABP (Adblock Plus) + Win 8.1

Not one hint of any popups nor videos while logged in..
A few videos and some static banners when not logged in..

you are making my point.... and you should stand on your head when you ride because it make it seem like your gas tank has more gas in it than you really do... really

bad bandaid

No disrespect- because it is clear that you reach out to help everyone - but in my opinion this is not a solution.

Sometimes you have to make the changes. Some of your software sucks. Replace it.
If your battery shows signs it is weak you replace it.

Your normal ride to work/golf has construction work going on that will block lanes of traffic.
You can take that same route or you can find an alternate route.

Tech savvy is not a requirement for many operations.
Google "Mozilla firefox" It shows an ad for Mozilla.org - Firefox Download.
Click on the Download button. It showed me another page, I clicked "Free Download.
It showed me the Installer file it wanted to download.
Click on "save file".
Later it may ask if it can make changes to the Hard Drive, the answer is Yes.
A few minutes later and Mozilla should be up and running.
Access VTXOA dot com and see what it looks like.
Log in and check "Remember Me" so everytime you access it you are logged in.
Not happy, get the Adblocker...

If you don't do anything than stop complaining. Live with it.

I doubt that.
Much better than IE ever was.
IE had so many security holes it was retired.
Microsoft Edge replaced IE
