Other then Willie n Waylon,whats with this town? Is it worth for a rider to go out of his/her way to see? Dont get me wrong i worked in a quite a few towns in Texas and met a lot of good folks there, but always wondered about Luckenbach... any stories or pictures? Thanks...

I am a ex-Texan. Many years ago(late 70s) I went there. Back then I think there was a Honky Tonk beer joint that served cold beer and long stories....
Those places sometimes have festivals, like chili cookoffs etc.

A one store town. Went there last weekend (scouting a ride) and going this weekend (for that ride) which will stop in the town for a cool beverage. They told me they have bands every day and lots of special events, like on the 23rd they have a classic car and bike event. They say they have a calendar on the net - haven't looked for it. If you want, I can take a pic of it on the way through Saturday.

We have gone to Austin the last couple of years in June for the ROT Rally. Made the trip out ot Luckenbach, I thought it was well worth it. Pretty cool place IMO. We sat under the trees, drank beer, and listened to music. Good times. :thumbup:

Back-in-the-day, Austin Texas, small bars and Honky Tonks, i got to meet Willie, Waylon, etc. It was known as "outlaw country" back then, a combo of country and rock. Cold beer and green grass ......

OK be ridin accross highway 10 Eastbound,now whats the best way to get to Luckenbach from 10? Any cheap motels in town or near? Motel 6?

There is a really nice Biker bar in Bandera and I posted a couple of pictures of it about a month ago when I went to the hill country for a 3 day weekend.

I resent the pictures this morning. Hopefully, you will get them this time.
