I have one of these on my Valk.
Great faring, Glen is easy to work with, and a nice guy. I got that same radio the Sony your going to like it a lot. I pluged in 32 gigs of music on a USB drive and I have not heard the same song twice yet.

I have taken the Reckless leap. I am one of those that think it would look good on my bike, but I don't know if I will like it and to spend the money on a Woody and take that chance? The Reckless is the perfect price to let me test a fairing and see if it's for me. If I like it and the Reckless doesn't hold up then I'll step up to a Woody. I would think that with 8 month and 1144 post that Alex would address some of these reoccurring issues? We shall see...
I have a 1800C, do you have to remove the fork covers on the 1800C?

If you decide to continue this project, you may want to grab yourself some two part epoxy as well. Epoxy the back side of all the nuts where the two halves of the fairing come together before you start. Those little critters can prove to be a challenge until you epoxy them. The fairing will make a huge difference on your bike, both looks and ride ability. Itís one of the best mods you can do. The most important thing to rememberÖtake your time. Mock it up before you have it painted.

|2002VTX||As long as you have some fitting skills and donít expect perfection out of the box, you should be fine. I would suggest you go out and buy.some black door edge trim to give it a more finished look on the two exposed edges. A heat igun makes the trim very pliable.|

Guess I got a good one then. Mine was the black cherry one at the Honda dealer. I know the other bike and I'll have to take a better look at it. I know it wasn't complete at the time (no stereo and speakers yet) and only mocked up for the weekend. Mine was complete. My painter was impressed when he prepped it as it took very little prep work to get it ready for color. He does a lot of custom work on other bikes and street rods and has won a few awards at Sturgis and such.
Everyone has opinions and Woody does what he says he will do. I have had a good experience with my Reckless so that is what my opinion is based on.

I bought a Reckless fairing and I have ranted about it in other threads. After a little time I have calmed down a little. The Reckless I got had a narrow winshield flange and one bolt on the flange was drilled at such a bad angle it cracked the outer fairing. The outer fairing overlapped the inner, a hole saw was used to cut the overlap off. There also were many pits in the inner. There are at least a couple of other board members who also received a similar quality fairing. It cost $50 shipping each way plus I also returned other parts which also added to my return bill. I did get a refund from Reckless as I was within the 14 day return window.
Mine was a pos. Doesn't mean they all are but mine was. It cost me over $150 for my lesson. I have been a member on this board for over 5 yrs and only about a 130 posts so generally I don't say much. But I was kinda pissed about the fit and finnish of the Reckless fairing I received. The only reason for posting is to inform others that read a 30 some page post is that we all should expect a good product the first time. And what Ronazon has to say about Glenn at Woody's is very spot on the guy treats you like you like in your wildest dreams the way you would want to be treated. I don't kiss anyones ass. But there is nobody like him in todays business world. You get what you what you pay for in a Woody's 1st class product from a guy who isn't happy until you are period.
