I want to change the front (driver) foot pegs, The brake assembly is blocking the bolt that holds the bolt in. I really haven't explored it a lot but does the chrome cover come off so I can get the bolt out or there is more involved?

there are 3 or 4 nuts that hold the chrome cover over the master cylinder
