I have a 03 1800c and it has a 130/70-18 up front. I am looking to replace it while I have it down for the winter. I found a 120/70ZR18. My question is how much smaller is this tire, compaired to the one I have now? Does it effect anything? Pics? Thanks Stu

its about 1/2 an inch smaller in width ...

and about a 1/4 inch lower in height.

130 - 120 = 10mm = 1 cm = less than 1/2 inch

130 x .7 = 91mm
120 x .7 = 84mm

91 - 84 = 7mm = a little more than a 1/4 inch

its not going to effect anything but it will look a little 'skinny' ...

Check the tire mfg.'s specs for dimensions, I have a 120/80 on mine and it's wider and much taller than the stock 130/70, and it's another Dunlop even, specs. can vary wildly in the same size, especially with different tire co.'s. That Z rated tire may be extremely low profile, check mfg.'s websites or catalogs to be sure.

Sorry no pics, but most likely it's going to be shorter and narrower, it will probably lower your front end a little, and give a stiffer ride, it sounds like more of a sportbike tire. You should also check the recommended rim width spec, I'll bet the 120 calls for a narrower wheel than your stock 3.50" x 18, which will change the crown radius or profile designed into the tire, not good for handling.
