Adding 2006 1300 schematic with two pages.
Printed out on larger paper than standard will provide better view.
Two fuses went to a higher amperage value, the Fan motor and Tripmeter memory fuse.

Adding on to the 1300 Ignition system.
Several VTX 1300 having Ignition failures.
I wanted to do a current measurement through the coils to the ICM.
Removing the ICM connector and measuring current is the best method to verify
continuity from the IGN fuse to the ICM.

I pulled out the HL, Turns, and Tail fuses to lessen the current load.
I kept Odometer memory and Ignition/Starter fuse in place.
IGN Switch ON, I measured 3.9 amps and 3.7 amps on the ICM connector Ign coil wires
(Y/Bu and Bu/Y) with test meter on 10 amp range.
Red lead to ICM wires of interest and Neg lead to frame Ground.

Kill switch could be a could a good possibility. Connectors in the headlight bucket possibly.
Broken ICM wires Black wire (+12v+) and the IPG green wire are the most frequent failures
at the ICM.. Using a multi amp lamp would be a good test at the ICM Black wire.

Frt brake switch had a blob of crap preventing brake light activation.
Scraped it off and good since then.
Rear brake switch had something similar. Slow heating of the filament.
Leds in series and turned on at about 9 volts, (2.2volts each + resistor)
I believe I sprayed wd40 or some cleaner into the switch.

Added Speedo instrument cluster for LED troubleshooting.
Best to place a drop of paint on led top or stuff some cotton above the led.
Several wires may have a "Stripe" of a different color.
Main color/Stripe color.

Tommy T. has a 2003 1300 which has an "Electric Fuel Pump".
With a long duration Ground while circuit testing the EFP relay shorted out and blew a fuse.
Rear Ign coil measured 3 amps, Frt coil with short measured 7 amps then fuse popped.
I believe the short caused low voltage on front Ign coil preventing proper ICM operation
during cranking..
I suggested removing the EFP and going with gravity flow.

Some timing marks for the Frt and Rear pistons.
You need the #1cyl (Frt cyl) to verify timing marks.
4.1* BTDC at idle.
Firing order: Front 308*, Rear 412*
