Is it possible to switch fenders on the VTX1800. I have a buddy looking for an "F" model and we keep finding "S/R" models at the price he is willing to pay. Are the fenders inerchangable?

Yes, but be prepared to change the rear fender, inner support, fender rails, & seat depending on what he gets and what he wants to put on.

FYI the seat needs to be from the same type of gas tank so if you get a bike with a flanged tank then ya need a seat from one with a flanged tank and vise verse.

yes and no... the fenders are interchangeable, the C/F are with common inner fender brace, R/S/N same deal, but different years have different tanks and seats will probly be required to be swapped as well... the bike in my sig is an F with an N rear fender... all the fenders, seats, inner and outer braces are bolt on swaps, just gotta get the combo that will work for what you are trying to change to...

Chop the R's fender down to your size. Keep the 150 front:thumbup:
