There is a lot of talk about wobble and cause if you want to do a search. Everything from bearings to moon alignment. My 1800 was wobble free for approx 15K miles. Installed an Avon front tire and after 2-3K miles, wobble developed. Had tire rebalanced to no avail. When I replaced the tire...no more wobble.

1800 here I get a small wobble in the front decelerating from 45-40mph.

However, when that usually means I'm low on air and if I pump the tires back up to about 40 psi the wobble goes away.

Your statement makes it sound like the 1300 inherently wobbles.

And that we all know about it.

Once the steering neck bearings start to wear out, yes they do wobble! I've fixed a few by installing 1800 neck bearings. Have 2 scheduled to fix next week. If it hasn't happened to your's yet, it will. It'll start with a decel wobble at about 40-45mph then gets worse.

That's the first I heard of a systemic problem in the 1300 handling. I've heard of the goldwing wobble, but I haven't heard that the 1300s generally wobble.

So what are we talking about? Numbers matter, 5%? less then 1/2%? Has there been a poll?

Is it safe to say (and in fact yours is the second post inferring) that all 1300s will eventually wobble?

If true. That sucks.

Well count me as one of the people who didn't know that. My 1800 currently decel wobbles, after putting on an elite3 on the front.

But that's not an inherent problem to the 1800.

Honda put ball bearings instead of roller berings in the steering neck of the 1300's. They are not heavy duty enough for that weight bike and do not hold up. They are the kind of bearings you would use on a bicycle or light weight MC, not a 700-800 bike. They will all fail eventually.
To fix it, you need to install a set of these or stock 1800 bearings.
