My wife is wanting me to put a back rest on the bike for her.

So, if you guys could help me out as to what you are running on your bikes that would be a great help. If you have pics please add them. If I can get it from the current sale at HD that would be even better.

I would prefer something that is not to hard to take on and off. I really like the way my bike looks with no back seat so this will be something that goes on and off depending on who is going to be riding the bike.

I feel the same way. The F was definetly made to be run without the rear seat!!!

However, for times when I need to haul something or somebody, I have the Honda Deluxe backrest and luggage rack. Takes me about 10 mins to get everything off, seat included.

Do you have any idea about the part numbers you ordered? I see the Deluxe back rest part #HO-7493760. But it says you need to order mounting kit, I am guessing this is part #HO-7575160. Is that basically longer bolts? I would also like to have a place on the back to carry her jacket or small bag. A small carrier would be cool.

i went with the sport rack and brackets and then put
a kuryaken grantour bag on the rack (the bag has a
built-in backrest!!!) ... the back can attach in about
the same time as a backrest but bonus is you have
someplace to put all your gear ...

as well, if you put the bag on the pillon then you have
a backrest!

Wow!!! Much easier price to swallow for no more than what she would be using it. Could you post or email some pics of it?

i use the sport low back rest on both F,s and no luggage rack

my fiance rides with me most of the time so i went with something that I could leave on and still look good. I didnt want to mess with a removable backrest, on/off, on/off, etc know what i mean?

Anyway , i went with the hondaline sport custom backrest
