Stopped a minute ago to get gas now won't start. New battery. Headlight comes on and goes out when starter button is pressed. Guy at station gave me a push I could hear engine turning over but would even try to start. Should have started easily. Blown fuse? Help

Best to put it in Neutral..
The two big studs with the big cable on them. At the top of the relay.

Very close to the starter relay is a 2 pin connector.
It has been known to burn open. It is the power feed for the FI system.
2 - 30amp fuses in left frame cover, one FI, the other for all the lights and things.

Will that keep starter from turning?

If there's no fuel pump priming, don't bother with anything else as no fuel pump = no fuel = no start or run no matter what else you do.

Fuse D Ignition/Starter 10 Amp > power to operate the starter relay,
power to operate the Bank angle sensor which than triggers the Engine Stop Relay,
which energizes the ECM to perform diagnostics and operate fuel pump (prime).

Ok thanks spike and Hans. I trailered it home. Will troubleshoot later. First time ever it wouldn't start. Glad I was close to home, I had just got back into town from a long ride and stopped to gas up before getting home.

I pulled Fuse D out and it looked good. I also swapped fuse D and F and that made no difference. I'll get a new 10A fuse later and try that. I looked for the 2 wire connector under the left side cover and didn't see it but was running out of daylight so put it on the trailer and got it home.

So my symptoms are:
1. Turn on ignition key, headlight, neutral light, oil light all come on. Fi light does not come on and pump does not prime.
2. Press starter button, headlight goes off while depressing the button but starter does not run.
3. D Fuse looked good but has been replaced with new fuse, did not help

Don't bother with 2 and 3 until you get 1 to turn the pump on. All you're doing is draining the battery it will never start without the fuel pump

Do you have a fuel manager on the bike? Is that coming on when you turn the key on? Some of them, if it doesn't power up, it will not allow the pump to turn on
