Is the schematic drawn wrong or?

QUESTION -
Why are there two connectors on the yellow wire if it's to be wrapped?
Shouldn't the gray wire have the connectors?
----
THE INSTRUCTIONS for RPM sensor mounting:
connect either the yellow or the gray wire.

The yellow gets wrapped around the spark plug lead.
-or-
the gray gets connected (either) to the ECU rev counter output,
0r primary side of the coil,
or the pulse wire on an active spark plug cap.
----
THE ACTUAL WIRING SUPPLIED WITH THE TACH
The yellow wire is
very long
and has two connectors at the end,
one connector is male,
one connector is female.

The gray wire in the actual wire harness is
very short
has has NO connectors.

You may have time to copy/paste all the posts and copy them here and delete the ones on Mark4of5 thread.

I copied all of page 2 of mark4of5 thread, which is mainly your tach threads.
I will make a PDF later today. PDF completed. Contains text from posts 21-39..

THE ACTUAL WIRING SUPPLIED WITH THE TACH
The yellow wire is very long and has two connectors at the end,
one connector is male, one connector is female.

Two choices on the Yellow wire (1) wrap around spark plug wire; (2) read below
When you remove the connector from the coil, to connect one terminal to the coil and the other
terminal goes to the ECM terminal which you just removed. Long yellow, your choice of Frt IGN coil or Rear IGN coil.
Yellow/Blue or Blue/Yellow depending what coil you chose..

You will have to upload your pix here. I tried to a put the pix on a PDF, too large. I split the pix into portrait and landscape.
One was still too large.. Tired of it now...

Tach connected but needle bounces bad

Thanks again all.
I removed the gas tank and connected the yellow wire to rear coil.
Engine idles good but needle bounces between 500 rpm and much higher (2000 approx.).
Instructions give other options including adding a 1M ohm resistor (supplied with tach).

Attached image seems to appear sideways after drag and drop, sorry.

Suggestions how to connect the tach to not bounce?
